Simplimmat is the official application of the State designed to simplify the administrative procedures for individuals buying or selling a used vehicle. The seller and the buyer complete the transfer declaration together, using a fully secure and digital process (no need to fill out a paper CERFA form). The buyer can immediately order their new registration certificate and receive a temporary registration certificate.

The application only supports vehicles registered in the new format (AA-123-AA) and vehicle types VP, TM, QM, QLEM, CL, CYCL, CTTE, MTL, MTT1, or MTT2. These include Passenger Vehicles, Tricycles and Quadricycles, Two or Three-Wheeler Mopeds, as well as Motorcycles. The vehicle type can be found in field J.1 on the back of your registration certificate (e.g., J.1 VP for passenger vehicle).

How does the application work?

If you are a seller looking to securely transfer your vehicle:

• Enter the required information from your registration certificate
• Complete the necessary information for transferring your vehicle
• Share the transfer dossier with the future owner on your respective smartphones
• Sign the transfer on the application to register it
• Download the completed and signed transfer certificate in the application

If you are a buyer looking to verify the details of the vehicle you are purchasing:

• Wait for the seller to share the vehicle transfer dossier with you
• Review and verify the provided information
• Approve the dossier with the seller
• Sign the purchase through the application to officially declare your purchase to the authorities
• Download the completed and signed transfer certificate

• If you want to receive your new registration certificate at the time of purchase:

• • Add co-holders if desired to your vehicle dossier
  • Enter your residence details
  • Pay taxes through the State’s secure payment platform
  • Retrieve your temporary registration certificate in the application (valid for 1 month)
  • You will receive your registration certificate at your address via tracked mail within three days
